6 travel packing tips

The holiday season is almost ready to start and the weather here is not to bad either. So I was thinking to share some travel packing tips with you. Of course share yours in the comments below so we can help each other out!

#1

Before you are starting to pack and planning your outfits check the weather of your holiday destination! This way you don’t over pack with clothes you don’t need.

#2

Plan all your outfits beforehand with accessories and shoes included. Make sure you can use the pieces that you take in different ways. This way you don’t have to take your whole wardrobe!

#3

If you are flying on carryon luggage only, check on the website of the airline before your holiday the amount of liquids you are allowed to take. If you are traveling a lot you can save up the skincare and makeup samples you get with your beauty purchases!

#4

You might have heard this tip already, but I’m going to include it anyway (it really works!!). Roll your clothes instead of folding them! It saves you a lot of space in your suitcase and it will prevent your clothes from badly creasing.

#5

Always wear or carry the heaviest and most space consuming items/pieces on the plane. This way you save some room in your suitcase to carry home the great holiday purchases!

#6

Write down a list of things that you need to pack right before you’re leaving. Most of the time you can’t pack all of your things beforehand, because some products you might still need. I often forgot to take items on holiday because of this. Writing them down helped me to prevent forgetting them!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday and don’t forget to share your favorite packing tips, holiday destinations or travel stories below!

  1. Nice tips. I hate packing, though. No matter if I roll them or fold them in 5469 ways, there is never enough space for everything in the suitcase. But I like the idea with the checklist. Forgetting something important may ruin the holiday.

  2. I could definitely use some work with some of these. Especially writing down things instead of just throwing things in the suitcase. Great tips!
