Spring is already a good month on it’s way, which usually means Spring-cleaning time. I recently gave my wardrobe a big clear out and I would like to share my tips with you for a successful clear out.
Tip 1: Get everything out of your wardrobe
To make sure you don’t forget an item while you clear out your wardrobe and to have a full overview of the clothes you have, get everything out of your closet. This also prevents you from keeping too many of the same or similar items.
Tip 2: Give the inside of your closet a clean
Now that everything is out of your closet anyway let’s give it a good clean on the inside. This is usually a place that you are not cleaning that often, in my case anyway.
Tip 3: Be harsh on yourself to decide what to keep and what not
I always ask myself three questions when I want to decide whether or not to keep an item. Does it still fit? Have I worn this in the last 6 months? Am I going to wear this again? If the answer to all three questions is yes I’ll keep the item. When one of the questions is answered with no it isn’t staying.
I hope these tips will help you with a successful wardrobe clear out this spring. I also like to keep a couple of pieces of soap in my closet to keep my clothes smell fresh. If you have any other tips or clear out experience you want to share please leave them in the comments below!

Yes definitely! But otherwise it’s going to hang in your closet and not being used. That helps me getting rid of the things I don’t wear.

I totally need to do this!!! It seems like I always do the bare minimum when I need to just spend the time doing a complete overhaul… Hey, it has to get worse before it can get better right?!

Yes that’s so true! When you see all the clothes together it’s a mess, but the result is a need looking wardrobe at the end 🙂
