This time next year: A review

This time next year, goals, blossom, one year later

Last year Katie from lifewithktkinnes and Jasmine from Thoughts from Jasmine nominated me for the This time next year tag. It’s a little over one year ago that I wrote the initial post, so it’s about time that I write a review.

Review on my goals from last year

Last year I set 5 goals for myself, which I wanted to achieve in 365 days. These goals were mainly based on my health, blog and education. Since writing this post I’ve really made steps towards achieving these goals and I think I could definitely set new one for next year. If you’d like me to do that and review these goals in another year, let me know!

I want to be fully rehabilitated from my ACL injury. I’ve fully recovered from my ACL injury (yeah!). It took about one year of hard work, but I’m officially fully recovered. I’m also very happy with the fact that I can do everything again with my knee!

I want to almost have finished my master degree in Human Movement Science. I’ve also succeeded this. My thesis is finally finished, done and completed! This means that I only have to pass one more course before I can officially graduate! Which was the reason that my content was a little off schedule for the last few weeks. Deadlines are almost over, so there will be a blogpost on Wednesday and Sunday. As well as a new video on Friday! The normal schedule will be back in play this Sunday!

I want to make my content more professional looking. My first subgoal was to get a professional camera, which I bought last summer after saving up some serious money! I think I could still make my content more professional and I’m working on gaining new skills every day!

I want to have my own domain name and be self-hosting. I’ve also achieved this goal, since I now have my own domain etc. for almost a year. I have to say that I was scared before going self-hosted, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made! For every blogger out there who’s doubting about doing it, just take the leap of faith. Do some research in hosting companies, mine is Fastcomet if anyone is wondering, and just do it! If you have no clue where to go I highly recommend Fastcomet! Their service is amazing and their support team is very quick and friendly!  This post is not sponsored by Fastcomet just to make that clear! I just love their service!

I want to have more confidence and care less about what other people think about me. I think I made steps towards achieving this goal, but I think it’s always something I’ll be working on. I definitely think that blogging gave me more confidence and also gave me skills to care less about what other people think of me. It might sound strange, but even creating my own Youtube channel gave me more confidence. Creating this channel is something I thought about doing for a long time (like my blog), but I was scared to start it. So actually doing this and getting such great respons gave me a lot of confidence.

Let me know if you’d like me to write a blogpost about setting goals for next year! Might be a fun one since next year this day I’ll turn 27!
