My make-up favorites of 2016. It’s a miracle that I could actually make a selection, because I love everything out of my make-up drawer. Although it was hard I have made my selection. Get ready for the last part of 2016 favorites!
First up is my favorite lipstick the Max Factor colour elixir in simply nude (725), which is my most worn lipstick of 2016. This is exactly like the name suggests.. my perfect nude. Or as you can call it a “my lips but better colour”. It is a glossy lipstick, which has a creamy and hydrating feeling on the lips. Very comfortable to wear and it doesn’t dry out your lips. I definitely going to try other colours in 2017.

The Maybelline Browdrama in the colour transparent, which I think is amazing. The clear brow gel really changed the brow game for me, which besides mascara I always do. Even on a no make-up day!

This is absolutely amazing and unfortunately not available in The Netherlands. It is available on Cult Beauty, which has really good shipping to The Netherlands. I bought this highlighter in a special Moonstone glow on the go collection. This has a mini liquid and powder highlighter in Moonstone. Both the liquid and power version are amazing!
20 pounds (glow on the go set) available at Cult BeautyOf course my favorite foundation is the Bourjoir Healthy Mix Serum foundation. This is a lifesaver for my dry skin. This foundation doesn’t emphasize any dry patches on my skin and gives a nice dewy finish. The only downside to this foundation is the strong fruity scent, but after applying the foundation on your face it the scent fades away. If you have dry skin, definitely check this out!

My favorite powder of this of this year is definitely the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. I know I’m a bit late to this party as well. After using it I definitely understand the hype around this powder. Although I have dry skin I like to wear this powder in different ways. To set my foundation when I want a little extra coverage and to wear this on it’s own as a powder foundation. I feel like you can’t go over board with this and it doesn’t get cakey quickly.

The Milani baked blush in the shade Luminoso. This is one of my most beautiful blushes I own. It is a peachy shade blush with a golden undertone. When applying it to the cheeks it gives the most beautiful peachy golden sheen!
9,70 euro available at BeautybayWell I thought that I made a good selection, but this is quickly becoming one of the longest blog posts of 2016… Let’s get on with the most favorite mascara. This has to be the Bourjoir Volume Glamour in Ultra Black. This mascara gives the most natural lengthening effect to your lashes. It has a “classic” mascara brush with normal bristles. The ultra black colour is a real black, even when applying it to my blond lashes.

Technically this is not a primer, but it gives a very subtle glow. When you apply your foundation over the top, it looks like you are glowing from within.
15,00 euro available at The Body ShopIf I had to choose only one eye product (besides mascara) that is my favorite, it is the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the colour Yoghurt. This is a very subtle, every day eye shadow colour. It is a beautiful pink copper shade, with a slight golden sheen. Although it is a cream shadow, I need to wear a primer underneath it. Otherwise at the end of the day this shadow will crease on me. NYX cosmetics is the biggest discovery for me in 2016. This is a very affordable make-up brand with high quality products. Definitely worth to check it out!
6,55 euro available at Douglas, FeeluniquePicking my favorite concealer of this year was a difficult one, but eventually the Maybelinne Eraser Eye Concealer won. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find it in a shop in The Netherlands. That’s why I got mine from Feelunique. This is a UK website, which has great shipping to the Netherlands as well. They often have products that we can’t get here. So it is worth to check this out! This concealer is amazing, which even with my dry skin works for me. I can also highlight my face with it, because I’m on the paler side. The formula is nice, creamy and melts into the skin when you blend it into the skin.
7,67 euro available at Feelunique And finally… (yes became a very long post) I couldn’t leave out my favorite liquid lipstick. THE make-up trend of 2016 in my opinion. This is the Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick in the shade Perla. This one is neither available in The Netherlands. They should definitely start selling Stila somewhere here! I got mine again from Cult Beauty in a liquid lipstick set of 3 lipsticks. The formula in general are amazing from these lipsticks. They are truly transfer proof and really stay all day! The formula is comfortable on the lips, they don’t bleed and don’t dry out your lips.
