When I don’t have time to go to the gym and I really want a good workout, I usually choose a workout video from one of my Top youtube fitness channels. This could be a pilates workout or an intense core session, or a relaxed yoga class. Today I want to share with you my 5 Top youtube fitness channels!
Top youtube fitness channels
Maria Khoreva workout
Maria Khoreva is a ballet dancer at the Marinskii Theater and she posts pilates for dancers workouts on her Youtube channel. They are follow-along workouts in varying lengths, which I find perfect for any workout occasion. I love her 9-minute workouts for a quick lunch-break workout and her longer ones for a more intensive workout after work for example. The Maria Khoreva workout style is in kind of a hiit workout or Tabata workout style, where you usually do the exercise for 50 seconds and 10 seconds rest. I find a Maria Khoreva workout one of the most effective home workout YouTube channels!
Pilates for dancers with kathryn Morgan
Kathryn Morgan’s channel is just amazing. Not only is she a really inspiring person and an amazing ballet dancer (I’ve been following her since the beginning of her channel), Kathryn Morgan also has some good workout videos on her YouTube Channel! If you might think she only has pilates for dancers workout videos, you’re wrong. Anyone can benefit from a ballet pilates workout. Not only does she have pilates for dancers, but also a very useful back workout for posture for example. My favorites are the 5-minute ab workout and her full body pilates workouts!
Ballet pilates workout with Blogilates
Another ballet inspired workout – can you tell I love ballet inspired workouts – are the Blogilates workout videos on her youtube channel. Cassey Ho is an amazing energetic instructor, who creates these very short but intensive workouts. I love doing these when I want a quick intensive workout, yet a very effective one. The reason why I love a ballet pilates workout so much is the fact that it’s based on the principles of pilates.
You rarely use any weights – except the occasional Thera-band – and mainly use your own body weight. This way you are less likely to get injured or bulk up. The other thing I love about these workouts is that the exercises are usually very easy, but very effective!
Rituals Yoga app
I know the last two are not really home workout YouTube channels, but I still wanted to mention them. Did you know that there’s more to shopping only on the My Rituals app? If you click on the lotus flower icon there’s a whole range of guided yoga and meditation sessions. I also know that this is not a ballet pilates workout or a hiit workout, but I love doing a yoga session on a day I want to do a very light form of exercise. The Rituals yoga app is completely free and has in my opinion yoga and meditation session for every level!
10 minute meditation with Smiling Mind
As well as a body workout, your mind sometimes needs a ‘workout’ too! Smiling mind is a great way to do guided meditations. I prefer doing a 10 minute meditation every morning before I start the day. With the smiling mind app, you can choose the purpose of your meditation. It has loads of free guided meditation sessions as well as even more paid ones.
The cool thing about this app is the fact that you can also choose a session based on what you are doing – on the go, commuting, lunch break, not feeling well, etc – and the amount of time you have. Ranging from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. This way you don’t always have to do a 10-minute meditation, but choose the length of the meditation to the time you have. Don’t forget to pour yourself an arnica bath after your workout, to take care of your muscles!
I hope you loved reading about my Top youtube fitness channels and also 2 of my favorite apps for some light workouts. If you are not into meditating yet I’d really recommend doing a 10-minute meditation every day, it will make a huge difference! If you’re interested in how to make yourself unuseful, I also wrote a blog post about that! Also, I’d love to hear about your Top youtube fitness channels in the comments below!
Yess, I LOVE the sweaty betty ballet workouts at home – so convenient! I also do yoga, exclusively on a sunday though, as it really stretches out those muscles that have bee worked monday to friday! Fab post! xx

What a perfect article for all of the crazy current events. With all of the gyms closed, my wife and I have been looking for some great home workout options. One more recommendation for yoga is a YouTube channel called go to beautiful. She is really good! 🙂 stay safe out there! Keep up the great work!
