Last week I asked you on my Instagram if you’d like me to write a blog post about my favourite timeless must have jewellery pieces. The majority of you voted ‘yes’, hence I’m writing this blogpost. I have to say ever since I quit gymnastics I wear so much more jewellery every day. It just became part of my routine, whereas when I still did gymnastics I didn’t see the point of wearing it. Except for my earrings, I had to take my jewellery off before every practice. I usually put it in my wallet, where I forgot it was there.
Ah fine, you know where I’m going. So I decided it was time to tell you a bit more about my jewellery collection and if you want to start one where to start with you must have jewellery pieces.
My must have jewellery pieces
Let me first explain in general which pieces in my jewellery collection are must haves for me. First of all, a timeless classic watch is definitely a must have in my opinion. In my opinion, a beautiful timeless classic watch really finishes an outfit and looks very stylish. Second I think a beautiful classic pair of dainty earrings are a must for me. As well as a statement yet everyday wearable necklace.
This might sound a bit weird a statement yet everyday piece, but I’ll explain it in more detail down below. And the two last pieces I think are a must in your collection are a timeless bracelet and ring. So let’s talk about the pieces I have in my collection to meet the must have jewellery pieces guide.
Classic Daniel Wellington watch
This watch was kindly gifted to me as a birthday present a couple of years ago and made me fell in love with the brand. It’s part of a set with a Daniel wellington cuff, which I’ll talk about in a second. A classic watch doesn’t have to come at a high price point and I think Daniel Wellington understands that. This specific watch is the Petite Evergold with a 32mm white watch face.
The best thing about the Daniel Wellington watches in my opinion is that they are completely customizable to fit your taste and size. This gives the look of a Taylor made watch at an affordable price point because the watch fits you perfectly. The metal gold strap looks very sophisticated, which makes it a very timeless and classic piece that can be part of your collection forever.
Timeless Daniel Wellington Cuff
I mentioned the Daniel Wellington cuff briefly in the paragraph above. This was also part of the watch and bracelet gift set I received as a birthday gift. This particular Classic gold Bracelet is the most minimalistic bracelet I have in my collection. You can pair it with a watch or wear it on its own. I usually don’t really like pieces with very bold branding, but the branding on this cuff is very subtle. A cuff bracelet might seem uncomfortable to wear, but I can reassure you that you can bend this Daniel Wellington cuff (without breaking it of course!) to make it fit you like a glove.
Statement yet everyday wearable Monica Vinader necklace
I mentioned this in the intro of this blog post, a statement yet everyday wearable necklace. You probably think, but Anna that isn’t possible. It’s either a statement necklace or an everyday wearable necklace. Well, I found a brand that has both in one necklace. The Monica Vinader necklace I have (and this counts for all the necklaces they sell) you can pick and mix your chain and pendant. In my case, I chose the Nura Baroque Monica Vinader Pearl Pendant charm* with a short beaded gold chain*. This way I can wear the gold chain as an everyday necklace and add the pearl if I want it to be a statement necklace.
The fun thing is that all their jewellery works like this, in the sense that a Monica Vinader pendant can be added to all pieces. Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, you name it! These pieces come at a higher price point, but make them very versatile! Since I’m part of the Monica Vinader Insiders I have a 20% discount code for you, which gives you a 20% discount on the entire collection except for the sale. MVINS20RAF-E083 Happy Shopping!
Ted baker rose gold earrings
The forth must have jewellery piece in my collection are a pair of Ted Baker Rose Gold Earrings. These really beautiful small earrings are very beautiful and dainty, yet they finish a look so well. They are again very timeless and classic, so they can live in your collection forever. As you might be able to read timeless and classic are my top tips if you are starting your jewellery collection. I absolutely adore Ted Baker and have quite some pieces from the brand in my closet. Their jewellery is at a very affordable price point, yet very classic and timeless.
A timeless Daniel wellington ring
As you might know, I worked with Daniel wellington in the past and had the opportunity to try some of their pieces. Although the first two Daniel Wellington pieces were a birthday gift, I worked with Daniel Wellington on the launch of their rings*. The Daniel Wellington Rings are very classic and timeless. Again something I go for when I decide to invest in jewellery pieces. Especially the Classic Gold Ring is something I would really recommend as a basic piece in your collection. It fits every outfit and looks very elegant.
So there you have it! My recommendations in terms of pieces to consider when starting your jewellery collection. As you might be able to tell I go for timeless and classic pieces that I can wear over and over again. And also pieces that are very versatile and fit every outfit I wear. This way I can get a lot of wear out of them, which makes investing in them worth it. I hope you loved reading this post and let me know your favourite must have jewellery pieces in the comments below!
