Ever since I heard of the brand Zoeva I thought about doing a brand review. Before I could do that I needed to try at least a variety of their products in order to have an opinion about them. Until now I’ve tried their brushes, eye shadow and cheek palette, but in the future I really want to try more of their products! I’ve heard great things about their eye shadow primer and I really want to try their lip products too. What is your favourite Zoeva product?
Brushes
The first Zoeva brush I bought was their 128 – Cream Cheek brush. After buying that brush I fell in love with the brand and started noticing a lot of hype around it in the Youtube and Blogger world. More and more Youtubers started mentioning Zoeva products in their videos. After a while I bought the 227 – Luxe Soft Definer, because it’s recommended as a dupe for the MAC 217 brush. I also bought the 104 – Buffer to blend out my foundation. I have to say these brushes are so incredibly soft. Even after washing them over and over they stay really soft. They also don’t shed during washing or applying your makeup! Because I was so impressed by the ‘blendability’ of the 227, I bought the 221 – Luxe Soft Crease and 231 – Luxe Petite Crease together. I’ve never been so impressed by brushes like the Zoeva ones! They apply makeup like a dream, blend your eye shadow beautifully and keep their quality.
Eye shadow
The Basic Moment palette from Zoeva is the first eye shadow palette I bought. I had my eye on a Zoeva eye shadow palette for a while, but waited to buy it after my birthday with a gift card. I’ve heard so many great reviews about Zoeva eye shadows and I’m not disappointed at all! The shadows are really pigmented and blend great on the eyelids. I need an eye shadow primer underneath, but that’s not due to the shadows. I just have oily eye lids… Even after applying a primer they don’t apply patchy or uneven. This is a great palette if you think about buying your first Zoeva eye shadow palette, because it has a great selection of colors and a variety of matt and shimmered shadows.
Cheek Palette
This Sweet Glamour palette is also the first cheek palette I own from Zoeva. And I have to say I love this palette! There are two pink toned blushes and a ice toned highlighter in this palette. The blushes are very pigmented so I suggest that you use a light hand when you apply them. My favorite way of using the blushes is to use the lighter pink all over the cheeks and the brighter pink on the apples of my cheeks. This way it gives an extra pop of color. The highlighter is my favorite of the three. It’s quite a subtle highlighter, but you can really build it up and go to town with it! I usually apply my highlighter with a fan brush and it just gives the most subtle glow from within! Absolutely in love!
I’m really exited to try out other Zoeva products from their range. Let me your experience with trying out Zoeva products in the comments below! In The Netherlands you can get hold of Zoeva via Douglas.
