It’s already Day 21 of blogmas today! I really can’t believe how fast this first year of blogmas is flying by. Today it’s time for another post in the Which one would I choose? series. This time I’ll talk about three oil cleansers I’ve tried. I have to mention, maybe you already know by now, I have dry and sensitive skin. Therefore, I use oil cleansers as my first cleanse in the evening to remove my makeup. I usually have one of these in the shower, since I think it’s less of a hassle to remove my makeup while I shower instead of using a muslin cloth. After I cleanse with an oil cleanser and removed my makeup, I always second cleanse my face with one of the cleansers I mentioned in a previous instalment: Hydrating cleansers.
Clinique
This Take The Day Off cleansing oil by Clinique is the oil cleanser I’m currently using. I love this one because it literally takes all your makeup off with two pumps of cleansing oil. Although, I don’t wear heavy makeup on a daily basis. I use quite a lot of mascara every day, which this cleansing oil takes off without any problem. This cleansing oil doesn’t feel greasy at all on your skin, which is something I love.
DHC
This DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is infused with olive oil and really nourishes your skin. Although, it’s olive oil infused it doesn’t feel greasy at all. When it come into contact with water the greasiness kind of dissolves. It does a really good job removing your makeup. Although, I feel like you use it up faster compared to the Clinique one.
The Body Shop
The Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil was the first cleansing oil I’ve ever used. This one is slightly ‘greasier’ compared to the other two, which means that it’s more oily and doesn’t dissolve that well in water. If you have dry skin like me this won’t be a problem at all, because it nourishes the skin at the same time. This is an awesome affordable cleansing oil and if you want to (like me) start using one.
If I have to choose one I would definitely go for the Clinique one, because it really does dissolve your makeup. And you don’t have to use a lot at all. Though, if you want to go for the more affordable option I think The Body Shop cleansing oil is a great alternative. I just want to put out there that I really don’t think the DHC one is bad at all! It just that I think you use it up very quickly.
😘
I agree on the Clinique! The 3 step is one of my favourites so clinique will always win in my eyes!
Going to have to invest in the Clinique cleanser!
