Actually Anna Christmas Countdown Day 12: My favourite festive lipsticks

favourite festive lipsticks

Today it’s time to share my favourite festive lipsticks with you. During the colder months I love wearing more purple, mauve and berry lip colours! And of course it isn’t Christmas without a favourite red lipstick. What are the lipstick you get out of your vanity when the colder months come around?

Kiko

Kiko

The first lipstick is the Kiko Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick in the shade 109 Amaranth, which I already featured in my October exciting new discoveries post. This lipstick feels very creamy on the lips and has in my opinion a satin finish. The color is a berry/mauve, which I love wearing during the colder months. This lipstick is also very affordable and lasts quite long on the lips.

L'oreal

L’oreal

This L’oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession lipstick in the shade Plum Gold is absolutely amazing. The color is a real plum, but isn’t completely opaque. In my opinion this isn’t a bad thing, because it makes this shade ‘more wearable’. The gold sheen coming through the plum really makes this shade perfect for the festive season. It’s also a very comfortable lipstick to wear on the lips, like all L’oreal lipsticks are.

MAC

MAC

My last berry favourite is MAC plumful. I have to admit this is the only MAC lipstick I own and it always reappears during autumn and winter. This is definitely a berry/plum shade and the lustre finish makes it very comfortable to wear. It’s also the lipstick that lasts longest of all three lipsticks I just mentioned. With a lipliner it lasts even longer! I really love this lipstick and I always get compliments when I wear it.

the balm

The Balm

Of course like I said earlier it isn’t Christmas without a favourite red lipstick. This year my favourite red lipstick is The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in the shade Devoted. I know there are lot of reds in this Meet Matt(e) Hughes range. So I think the best way to describe this red is red with a hint of burgundy. This shade looks best on my skin tone, since this shade doesn’t wash me out. It’s my favourite red, because it doesn’t move when you eat. So perfect for the Christmas dinners and parties.

The shades are so pretty!! My fave has to be L’oreal because I’m all about dark shades; the kiko is also nice. And the red balm is so beautifully!!! I’m a sucker for red 😅 Plus your photos are really really good. I need your tips!!🙈

I am living for that Kiko shade! One of their shops recently opened up in Windsor and I think I need to start paying rent there… Check out my post on Krystal Kiss as they have got a special winter colour that is limited edition and their lipsticks are so good!
