Today I’m going to talk about my hair, which I haven’t done in quite a while. Mainly because I don’t consider my self very skilful when it comes to hair. After I dyed my hair for the first time about half a year ago, I decided to go to the salon for another round of dying my hair. The only thing was I wanted to go to a salon in Amsterdam. A colleague of mine recommended her hairdresser in Rotterdam, but that was a bit too far away for me. So after cycling about 100 times past Het Haartheater I decided to call them for a consult.
They booked me for a consult with Jin Li. I had no previous experience with any hairdressers at Het Haartheater, so I didn’t have a preference for any particular member of staff. She was very enthusiastic about the idea that I had in mind and she also gave me really good advice about dying my hair. Although I had seen Jin Li only once during the consult, I felt confident that she knew what to do with my hair.
Yesterday, I went to the salon to get my hair dyed and cut. Although I was a bit nervous at first, because I just couldn’t picture in my head what my hair was going to look like. Jin Li ensured me that it was going to be fine and she explained step by step what she was going to do. The treatments I had done were highlight and lowlights, because we wanted to soften the roots. I also had a toner in my hair, because my hair pulls quite warm after dying it. And she used Olaplex to treat and protect my hair. After all the treatments, she cut and styled my hair. As you can see in the picture I absolutely love it!
I really hope that you loved reading about my salon experience and if you’re searching for a hairdresser in Amsterdam I would definitely recommend Het Haartheater! The staff is very friendly and helpful! And of course check out Jin Li’s instagram to see pictures of her work!
