facetheory reviews, zero waste skincare brand

Facetheory review | The 3 best Facetheory products?

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about the clean beauty department from Douglas. In this post I’m going to introduce another clean skincare brand I recently discovered: Facetheory, so I thought it was about time for a Facetheory review post. In this post, I’ll review 3 of the Facetheory skincare products. I’ll show you two of the Facetheory cleansers: Jojoba Cleansing Oil, Vitamin C Hot Cleanser Set. And I’ll show you the SPF Melting Balm, which is a super important product to keep your skin from getting fine lines!

Facetheory

As I already mentioned Facetheory started as a small brand in Sheffield, UK. And the cool thing is they still produce all their products in Sheffield. The only difference is they currently ship to over 40 countries! They aim to create the best clean skincare at an affordable price. All their skincare is cruelty free and vegan! Another awesome thing that I want to mention is that all their products are available fragrance-free, which is their standard. Of course, they also have fragranced products, but there is always a fragrance-free option! They have skincare products for all skin types including sensitive skin, oily skin, acne prone skin, and more. You can basically shop your entire skincare routine at their website. So are you excited to read my Facetheory review?!

Sunfragma SPF 25 Melting Balm

This Sunfragma SPF 25 Melting Balm* is like the name suggests a balm that melts into your skin when applying it. I really love the consistency, because with most SPF cremes I find they are very greasy. This one doesn’t feel greasy, however, it does makes you look a bit shiny. This face SPF protects your skin against UVA and UVB. Besides that, This Sunfragma SPF 25 Melting Balm* is like the name suggests a balm that melts into your skin when applying it. note: I noticed that the melting balm is not available on the Facetheory website anymore so here is their other SPF product: the Amil-C Whip M5 SPF 20 or a foundation with SPF 15!

Facetheory review: cleansers

I also tested two cleansers from Facetheory. The Deeply Nourishing Jojoba Cleansing Oil*, which I use as my first cleanse to take off my makeup. And the vitamin C Cream Cleanser, which is more of a clarifying cleanser and I use as my second cleanse.

The Jojoba cleansing Oil is a very rich oil cleanser, which really does the job of removing your makeup. It does have quite a runny consistency as you can see in the picture below, but the consistency is very rich! The face cleansers are packaged in amber glass jars, which is more environmentally friendly. The products from Facetheory have a lot of pure ingredients, which makes the products very suitable for sensitive skin.

Then for my second cleanse I like to use the Vitamin C Creamy Cleanser*. As the name suggests this is a very nice gentle creamy cleanser. Vitamin C is used to resurface the skin, just like a couple of other acid products do. Retinol, salicylic acid, and azelaic acid for example. These acids can be quite harsh on your skin, hence why this cleanser can really benefit your skin. This vitamin C cleanser is one of the Facetheory clarifying cleansers but is a very gentle face product. And I really feel like this cleanser leaves my face clean and hydrated. This cleanser has a thicker consistency compared to the oil cleanser. When it comes into contact with water it becomes a very nice creamy consistency.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the Facetheory review and I think these are one of Facetheory best products since a couple of them are in the best seller tab. I really loved the Facetheory products and I can’t wait to try out more products from this lovely brand. They also have a porebright serum I’m very curious about. Have you tried any of their products so far? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I came across your review while I was researching Facetheory. I love the look of the SPF, I’ve never seen an SPF in balm form before! I’m currently looking their exfoliating body moisturisers, they are well worth a look!
