How to style a black turtleneck?

Today I’m collation with Rave Michelle. She’s an awesome influencer from Texas and I’m very excited to do this post with her. We’re both going to show you how we style a black turtleneck top. For this out fit and styling this black turtle neck I chose to go a little bit out of my comfort zone and I have to say I’m very pleased with the result. When I saw this skirt (moreover the skirt later on in the post) I could immediately picture this outfit in my head! So let me tell you what I’m wearing!

My black turtleneck

The black turtleneck that I’m wearing is from New Look. It’s a long sleeved slightly textured black top. I think lots of brands have these staple black turtle tops, but I think New Look has some nice affordable and good quality tops! I used this black top as the basis of my outfit, because it’s a nice and basic piece of clothing that almost everyone has lying around in their closet.

Zebra printed skirt

This awesome midi length skirt is from Primark. I spotted this skirt and immediately pictured this outfit in my head. It’s is an A-line midi length skirt with a split at the front of the skirt. The split is decorated with buttons all the way to the top. The skirt has a zipper on the back, which makes it very easy to get into the skirt. I also like the width of the waist part of the skirt! It catches your eye and is very flattering for your figure!

Accessories

Although I really liked the waist part of the skirt I chose to wear a subtle belt. This one is also from New Look and is a perfect dupe for the Gucci belts. I really love how this adds a little pop of shine to the outfit. In my opion it really pulls the outfit together! And of course I’m wearing my Daniel Wellington watch which is almost surgically attached to my wrist.

Shoes

Last but certainly not least I’m going to talk about my favorite topic… shoes! I thought this was a perfect opportunity to wear my new Aldo black boots. The high heels really elongate your legs and I also think they add a little bit of edge to the outfit.
