Longwear foundations for long events

foundations, rimmel, bourjois, emani, miss sporty

I thought it was time I’d write a dedicated blogpost about longwear foundations, since the weddings easing is starting and I have a wedding to attend within a few weeks. I chose to feature the 5 foundations or base products that are currently in my makeup drawer. I have to say I haven’t tried all of them yet, because I fairly recently added a few new once to my collection. Though, I’d love to hear your opinion about them and of course I’ll add my thought in the comments down below!

My skin

So first of all I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit more about my skin. If you didn’t know already I have a dry/sensitive skin. Therefore, I don’t like foundations that have a matte/satin finish. They tend to leave me looking dry and cakey over the day. And that’s the last thing I want during a wedding.

My current foundation stash

The first foundation in my collection is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation. I really love this one, because of the serum component in the foundation. This makes my skin looking glowy and healthy, which is usually the look I’m going for. You’ll probably hear me say the words glowy and healthy a lot during this blogpost! This one would be a good contender, because it doesn’t have any SPF in it.

The second foundation in my stash is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. This is one of the two foundations I haven’t tried yet, though I think this would be a good contender for the wedding as well. This one has a slightly runny texture, which is why it felt quite hydrating when I tried it on the back of my hand. This one has SPF in it, which makes it not great for a wedding. Though, I’ll have to try this one with a flashlight camera to see if it results in any flashback.

The same actually holds for the other new foundation in my stash, which is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. This one is really nice on my skin and doesn’t move all day. It also is very radient and glowy. And besides that it doesn’t make my skin look dry at all. This was a tricky one though, because it is a more fuller coverage foundation compared to what I usually wear. Though, it passed the test. This one does contain SPF, so I have to (again) test this one with a flashlight camera.

The fourth foundation is my collection is the Emani Hydrawear foundation. If you read my blog or watch my youtube videos, this isn’t a new one for you. I really love this foundation and it makes my skin really nice healthy and glowy. This one is a real contender for the event I’m attending, though I have to test it out with flashlight camera. This one has some ingredients in it, which naturally protect you from the sun. So I don’t know how this will interfere with the flashlight or if it interferes at all.

And last but not least is the So Energetic Instant Skin Glow from Miss Sporty. Again I haven’t tried this one yet, though I think the name suggest that this one will also give a nice and healthy glow to the skin. This one doesn’t contain SPF, which is a plus! I would love to try this one out and see how it applies and wears throughout the day.

If you have tried one of these foundations yourself or you know if the SPF in the product reacts on flashlight photograpy let me know in the comments below!
