Welcome to my first ever blog post, which is featuring my morning skincare routine for winter. During the colder seasons, my skin always becomes very dry. I try to protect it from the cold and use as many moisturizing products as I can. So in the post below I’ll explain to you my morning skincare routine for Winter.
La roche posay toleriane caring wash
The first step in morning skincare routine for Winter a cleanser. I don’t like to splash my face full of water in the morning. That’s why I chose to use the La Roche Posay Toleraine caring wash. I put the cleanser on a cotton pad and swipe it around my face, avoiding the eye area. This la Roche Posay Tolleraine caring wash is not stripping down your face, hence why I like it during the autumn-winter time.
kiehl’s ultra facial toner
After the cleanser had some time to sink in, I use the Kiehl’s ultra facial toner on a cotton pad as well. I feel like this ultra facial toner removes the residue that the La Roche cleanser left on my face while toning it at the same time. This cleanser is a little thicker compared to micellar water and has a milk-like consistency. I wouldn’t say this is especially a hydrating toner, but it doesn’t dry out the skin as well.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum
The next step in my routine is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum. In the morning I always like to use lightweight products that are very moisturizing. The serum I use at the moment is Vichy Aqualia thermal serum. It has quite a runny consistency and sinks into the skin quickly. I usually apply about one pump of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum onto my whole face. Which gives me a nice base for the day and eye cream I use.
Korres wild rose eye cream
After the serum, I use the Korres wild rose eye cream. I had to search for quite a long time to find a relatively affordable eye cream with SPF. For me, SPF in an eye cream is important, because this is the most fragile area of the face. Which ages the quickest without protection from the sun. After quite a search I found the Korres wild rose eye cream SPF 15.
The cream is a little thicker than I would like for day use, but it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling to the eye area. I use about half a pee size and apply it in tapping motions with my ring fingers around my eyes. This cream is very hydrating and makeup sits so nicely on top of it.
Diadermine day cream
The last step in my morning skincare routine for Winter the Diadermine day cream. At the moment I use the Diadermine hydratant moisturizer. This has a built-in UV filter and is again moisturizing. Although this Diadermine day cream is for normal to combination skin, it’s still hydrating enough. It has a light consistency, but it doesn’t absorb immediately into the skin. After applying, it leaves the skin feeling a little bit sticky, which makes the makeup ‘stick’ to the skin a lot easier.
