Review | New in beauty products

L’oreal Paris recently launched their new summer makeup collection and The Body Shop released their new face mists. So I thought it was time to review both of them and see what I think. I bought the skin tint, bronzer and concealer from the L’oreal Paris collection and the dewy glow face mist from The Body Shop. Did you already try these products or other products from their new collections?

L’oreal Paris

When I saw that L’oreal Paris released their Bonjour Nudista Skin Tint I was very excited, because I just ran out of my old BB-cream that I was using. I ordered it off Lookfantastic and I chose the shade light. I think this product is definitely a skin tint, which the slightest amount of coverage. This shade is a little pink for my own skin color, but this isn’t a problem with the light amount of coverage this product has. It really evens your skin after applying this, but it looks like you don’t wear any makeup at all. Love this product and if you want a higher coverage you can always mix it with a little bit of foundation.

The Back to Bronze is also part of the new L’oreal Paris summer collection. Although it’s a matte bronzer (which I typically don’t use during the summer) it leaves you with a nice sun kissed look. The color looks quite warm and aggressive in the pan, but after applying this to your face the color looks amazing. Even on pale skin tones like mine, so that’s a pleasant surprise! I love this product, because it doesn’t look matte on your face after applying it. Usually matte bronzers make me look like I have bronzer or makeup on my face, but this product definitely doesn’t do that! I might need to pick up some more products of this range. Do you have any recommendations?

The last L’oreal Paris product is from their new 24h concealer pomade from the Infallible range.  I also got this one (just like the bronzer and skin tint) from Lookfantastic, since these products haven’t launched in The Netherlands yet. I hope they will eventually, because I really love them! I’m always a bit hesitant when it comes to concealers in a jar or stick form, because I feel like they tend to be very drying on your face. Especially on my eyes I really need a moisturising concealer. Otherwise it tends to crease in the smile lines around my eyes. Though this concealer is not drying at all, but it’s also not very greasy or wet looking. I feel like it’s similar to a cream to powder texture, which is a good thing! After I applied it underneath my eyes I feel like it set itself. The only downside for me is the color range. This is the lightest color and I feel like for paler skin tones this isn’t going to be light enough. For me though it’s just light enough and I really like this product!

The body shop

The Body Shop recently launched five different face mists and I picked up the Rose Dewy Glow face mist. It’s made to brighten your skin, which it really does! Besides that the scent is made to not interfere with your makeup. I use it as a final ‘setting’ spray and I really like the dewy finish it gives to my makeup look. I also feel it really brightens your skin and leaves you looking awake. I really love this product!
