Last week I went to the Beauty Trade Special and met Anne from Beauty By A Dutch Girl! We had such an awesome time together at the show and decided to collaborate today! Both of us wrote a blogpost about the new Weleda Colour Lip Balms. They recently brought out a new range of skincare/makeup items, which the Colour Lip Balms are part of. I chose the color Berry Red* and Anne chose the nude colour. So if you want to know what we think of these new lip balms… Keep on reading and check out Anne’s blogpost too!
Color Lip Balm
As I was telling you already I chose the colour Berry Red to review and I have to say this was quite a brave choice for me. I would have naturally go for the Balm Rose colour, which is a pinky nude (obviously…). So this time I thought let’s try a color I wouldn’t normally go for and I absolutely don’t regret it. The color isn’t very opaque, so the colour isn’t as scary as the paging might suggest. The consistency is nice and hydrating, which is very comfortable on the lips. It doesn’t only give your lips a nice color, but it also hydrates and nourish your lips at the same time!
Weleda also brought out their version of a tinted moisturiser, which is called the Beauty Balm. They have two shades of these balms: Nude and Bronze. I think after swatching them on my hand (see picture down below) that I would probably be the shade nude, but they advised me during the Beauty Trade Special that you could also mix them to match your skin colour better. They don’t contain any SPF, which doesn’t bother me at all. I usually wear a separate SPF underneath my foundation or tinted moisturiser anyway. The consistency of the cream feels really hydrating and perfect for my dry skin! I have to say that I haven’t been able to give them a proper wear test. So when I can properly test them out during the day I’ll leave my opinion in the comments down below.
I hope you liked reading about the new products of Weleda and my opinion about them. Don’t forget to check out Anne’s post with her opinion about the Colour Beauty Balm! Have you tried any of these Weleda products? Or maybe other once that I haven’t tried before? Let me know in the comments below!
