So many moisturisers to choose from?!

Dry skin or oily skin, SPF or no SPF, so many opinion to choose from! When I currently walk into a drugstore I feel overwhelmed by the amount of skincare products to choose from. Especially the amount to moisturisers that are currently on the market is huge. Therefore, I thought that it might be a good idea to write a blogpost about 4 different kind of moisturisers and review them for you. They are all affordable or semi affordable and can be found in the drugstore. So if you want to know which moisturisers I chose to review and what I think of them, keep reading!

Louis Widmer

I’m going to start with the most expensive moisturiser, which is the Daycream UV 10 from Louis Widmer*. This moisturiser as the name suggests contains SPF 10, so a perfect ‘SPF base’ to start. It’s also tailor made for normal to dry skin, which you can feel by the texture of the cream. When you apply it to your face it feels rich and moisturising right away. It also doesn’t skin into the skin yet it doesn’t make your skin sticky. Louis Widmer has lot’s of different moisturisers tailor made for every skin type, so if you have a different skin type there will also be a moisturiser for you too!

This moisturiser retails for €25,70.

No No make up

No No Make up is a new brand here in The Netherlands and available at Etos. They have a one multi purpose cream in their skincare line, which is the Slay Today Multi Purpose Hydrating Cream*. Like the name suggests this is a very moisturising cream, which my dry skin really likes! Although it is quite moisturising I find that it doesn’t clog your pores. This cream is quite scented, which I think smells like the almond oil inside the cream. I don’t mind it, but if you don’t like a scented cream you might not enjoy it. Also if you have a combination or oily skin this cream might be a little bit too oily for you, because it takes a while for the cream to really sink into your skin. Like I said in the beginning, for my dry skin these things are all very welcome!

Skin Academy PURE

Another new brand in The Netherlands is Skin Academy Pure and they also have a Daily Moisturiser SPF 15* in their skincare line. This brand is originally from the UK and is distributed in The Netherlands by Trade Sense BV. The Moisturiser from Skin Academy Pure comes in a jar and looks quite thick at first, but when you apply it to your skin it’s a really light and smooth cream. The first time I applied the moisturiser it surprised me. I was expecting a thick moisturising cream, but when I massaged it into my skin the texture suddenly changed to a light and smooth cream. I also love the fact that it contains an SPF and this cream is infused with Aloe Vera and Green Tea! This cream sinks into your skin quite quickly, which is a bit of a con for my dry skin. If you have a combination of oily skin, you’ll love this texture!

Weleda

As you might know I’m a brand ambassador for Weleda Benelux and this time I got to try out their Iris Hydrating Moisturiser Light*. So last but not least I’m going to talk about this hydrating moisturiser. This moisturiser is infused with the Iris flower, which is known for keeping the skin hydrated. It’s a really light cream that skins into your skin quite quickly, while it still moisturises your skin. This is a really versatile cream in my opinion, because it has such a light consistency. So I feel like if you skin is in need of moisture whether you have dry, combination or oily skin, this moisturiser is going to help you!
