On Sunday evenings I really like to pamper myself and spend some extra time to my face, hair and nails. This is also a good for me to fully relax and have some non-electronic time before another busy week starts again.
I start my routine with removing my make-up. Lately I’ve been loving The Body Shop Camomile cleansing oil. I take about 2 to 3 pumps and massage this onto my dry face. When my make up and SPF is broken down I take a damp cloth and gently use this to take off all the make up and the oil.
After this I use my Foreo Luna mini together with the First Aid Beauty face cleanser to cleanse my face again. This “second cleanse” really helps to clean all the pores. I really like the second cleanse method Caroline Hirons introduced. My pores feel less clogged, it absorbs the moisturizing products better and it breaks out less. What else do you want?
After whole cleansing process I put on a facemask. This time I used the black L’Oreal mask pure clay. Let me know if you want me to do a post about my favorite facemasks! I also put a hair mask into my dry hair instead of using it in the shower. I feel like it leaves my hair feeling much smoother when I use it on dry hair.
Now it is time for candles and a good book (or some Netflix). I’m currently reading The life changing magic of not giving a f**k by Sarah Knight, but a good detective like The Dante Club is also a good choice. I make myself confortable on the couch with a blanket and a cup of tea, while I read my book and let the masks do its work.
If I had a bath I would have said that I was going to take a nice hot Lush bat, but unfortunately… I don’t have one. Instead I take a nice hot shower and use a body scrub to make my skin feel baby soft. I also take off my face and hair mask in the shower. I don’t like the hassle of having to use a warm cloth to take of my facemask. So I take it off in the shower.
When I’m done in the shower I spend some time doing my skincare routine. After that I put on my comfiest pajama and slippers, while I try to decide which nail polish I’m going to use on my nails. This time I painted them red!
This routine honestly makes me feel completely relaxed and it clears my mind. What is your favorite weekend pamper routine? Let me know!
