In my last blogpost about WW the new Weight Watchers I tried out their Freestyle program, which was an amazing experience. At the end of last year I had the opportunity to try out their brand new program called Mijn WW and in this post I’m going to tell you of course a bit more about the program. The new WW program
So as I already mentioned in the beginning I previously did their Freestyle program, which still exists in the new program. From now on this Freestyle program is just called the blue program. Besides the blue program they also have the green and purple program included in the new Mijn WW. When you open the app with the new program you get a couple of questions about your lifestyle and explanation about the colours.
A very brief explanation would be green is stricter in the sense that only fruit and veggies are included in the zero points list, so you have 100+ zero points products in the green plan. Your daily smart point budget has a minimum of 30 points, which is bigger compared to the other plans. Whereas with the purple program you have the smallest daily smart point budget, a minimum of 16 smart points. But you have 300+ products included in your zero points list. This includes products as potatoes, some whole wheat products, veggies, fruit and protein products.
The blue plan is just as you’re used to in the Freestyle program. You have a minimum of 23 smart points in your daily budget and 200+ zero points products including veggies, fruit and protein products. So for example the healthy oatmeal is included in your zero points list.
Which colour did I choose?
The new Mijn WW really allows you to adapt the mijn WW program to your lifestyle by choosing the plan that fits your life best. If you have an active lifestyle you can choose for the purple plan and have the good fats and healthy carbs included in your zero points list. And if you want to loose a couple of kilos, I think this is the best way to loose weight. But you can also use this program, like me, to feel good in your own skin and get inspiration for healthy foods to eat. As you have already hear me say a couple of times, this program is so easy to adapt in your daily lifestyle. For example when you want to loose weight, you just became a new mom or a mom of twins.
I think this new program is amazing! Since I have quite an active lifestyle I chose the purple program, which allows me to have all the good carbohydrates included in my zero points list. I love to eat oatmeal in the morning, because oatmeal is good for you and it fills me up till lunch. In the freestyle program this was about 5 smart points, whereas in the purple program this is zero points.
