Which one would I choose? | Exfoliating Toners

Toners, Which one would i choose?

I was thinking about starting this series for a long time now, but I couldn’t think of a good name. I finally came up with “Which one would I choose?” and this is going to be the first instalment of the series. I’m planning on continuing this series, so if there is anything you would like me to feature: Let me know! This time I’m talking about exfoliating toners, which my quite sensitive and dry skin doesn’t always agree with. Though all these toners I’ve tries (some longer than others) and I’m going to give you my honest opinion about them. They have one think in common: all of these toners don’t make my skin dry, which is quite an accomplishment.

Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner

This Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner toner claims to remove impurities without making the skin dry. It also supposed to make the skin bright like the name suggests. I definitely think that this toner brightens up your skin. And it’s one of the few toners dat doesn’t make my skin dry! The consistency of this toner is just like water and it has a slight yellow/pink color. It doesn’t sting when I apply it to my cleansed skin and I feel like it really tones my skin.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0

This product is really marketed as an exfoliating toner for sensitive skin. The Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 claims to be alcohol free, gets rid of impurities and leaves the skin feeling soft and glowing. The fact that this product is alcohol free really caught my attention to buying this toner. The consistency is just like the Botanics one like water and doesn’t make my skin dry either. I would really use this toner whenever my skin was feeling upset or aggravated. The next morning my skin would always feel calmed down and less red.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

The last toner I want to mention is the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, which pre-soaked pads in a little container. These pads claim to also be alcohol (and more) free, exfoliate and tone the skin. They say on the website that you can use these daily, but I tend to use these twice a week. They really brighten up your skin and they don’t dry out or break out your skin. I also find these so travel friendly, because of the pre-soaked pads that can’t leak all over your other luggage.

Of course the title of this blogpost is “Which one would I choose?”. In this case I have to say the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0, because it really calms down my skin when its aggravated. Though, I have to say for travel purposes I would choose the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads! The Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner would be a really good budget option if the Clinique one is too expensive!

Let me know what you think of this new series! And I’m really curious what you would like me to feature in one of the next instalments of this “What would I choose?” series!

I really want to try the FAB pads. And I didn’t know Boots did an exfoliating toner, so I must try that too. I also really love the Pixi Glow & Aveda toners.

I had seen the FAB pads mentioned on another blog and they intrigue me for the very reason you mentioned – travel! I might just have to look into this more!

Ooooh I love this series idea! It’s so overwhelming these days with the multitudes of products available. A toner is the next thing I want to add to my beauty routine, so I shall definitely be keeping these suggestions in mind x

Hydrating cleansers sounds like a great idea! I mean they both do, but I’d be super interested in the hydrating cleansers, my skin tends to dry out pretty easily, especially
now I live in the desert lol

Clinique is my favourite brand when it comes to skin care so my biased opinion obviously put their toner above the rest but I agree that it is a bit pricey and as a student we are not made of money lol but it is nice to introduce us to cheaper alternatives. Great reviews
