Need some fashion inspiration to get ready for summer? When I wrote about my spring fashion wishlist, I got the question if I could also do this post for summer. So since the summer weather is finally here in The Netherlands, I thought it was about time. Of course, the pieces I mentioned in my spring fashion wishlist post are also pieces that you can wear in summer. But I also thought let’s try to get a bit more beachy, holiday vibes in this post. This get ready for summer post is about holiday vibes, but still wearable for work if you pair it with the right accessories.
Brock Collection x H&M
There’s no way I couldn’t talk about the Brock Collection x H&M collaboration. I picked one dress that I’m absolutely obsessed with, but to be honest the whole collection is amazing! They have the most amazing summer dresses, very cute tops, shorts, sunnies, and even some jewellery pieces. If you want some pieces from this collection, I recommend checking them out soon, since these collections tend to sell out very quickly. This particular dress could be paired with the Ted Baker sliders or some Castaner wedges.
H&M Dresses
As I already mentioned in my previous blog post I find that H&M really upped their game in terms of summer dresses and skirts. I added two dresses in this post, one is the dress from the Brock Collection x H&M, and the other one is a dress that I might already have purchased. This is a beautiful flowy off-white summer dress with a waist belt. Although you can definitely add your own belt! Another H&M piece I’ve added to this post is the yellow skirt, which is also available in white. I think something about this fabric is just so happy and positive, and you can pair it with almost any white top.
White ruffle tops
Talking about white ruffle tops, I absolutely love the high street options regarding white ruffle tops. They are absolutely amazing for example the mango white top and this one with spaghetti straps from Edited (available at Zalando). Both of them are amazing to pair with jeans, shorts, or for example the yellow skirt I was talking about. They are very easy to throw on and make your outfit look really sophisticated and definitely help you get ready for summer!
Blouse dresses
Another thing that is very easy to throw on are shirt dresses. I think this Ralph Lauren one, inspired by Lydia Elise Millen, is super easy to make you look very smart. Pair it with a nice leather handbag and a pair of Castaner wedges or maybe some Ralph Lauren brown leather sliders. This dress is an outfit in itself and is also very timeless. Although it is an investment piece I think this won’t go out of style any time soon.
Sliders
This year the sliders are really making their comeback. In my last fashion wishlist post, I mentioned a pair of Ralph Lauren sliders as a dupe for the Tory Birch sliders. This time I spotted a pair of creme soft leather sliders from Ted Baker, another brand I absolutely love! These sliders have cross-over knotted detail, which makes them look very interesting compared to just normal sliders or flip-flops.
Jude bags
Last year the jude bag trend really made its way back to the fashion podium and I think we’ll see a lot more of them this year. This beautiful Samsoe Samsoe bag (available at Zalando) is awesome for a stroll through the city or a beach day. It can fit everything you need for a day out of the house and it definitely has holiday vibes. These types of bags are also very easy to take with you on holiday since they don’t fold or wrinkle that easily. And they are also the perfect size hand luggage.
Monica Vinader Jewellery
Last but not least let’s talk about the perfect summer jewellery pieces. As you might know, I’m obsessed with Monica Vinader Jewellery pieces. I already own a Monica Vinader necklace and a pair of Doina earrings. This time I chose a beautiful bracelet, the talisman heart bracelet. I also chose the siren single climber earring. This one would be very beautiful if you have a second pair of ear piercings. It’s something different compared to studs or hoops!
